Key Features
Quality in every detail

Original paracord
Original nylon paracord made in USA. We use it in the neck attachment and belly strap attachements. The neck loop has a strength of over 200 kg.
Waterproof foam pads
We've developed these highly technical pads to fit the dogs' body perfectly. They are molded into shape and the surface is completely closed. They will absorb shock like the sole of a premium running shoe and protect your dog from any damage. Manufactured by our Italian partner XL Extralight.
Harness rope
A 8 mm double braided polyester rope holds everything together. This rope is very strong and resistant to UV, mildew and rot. The ends can be cut and melted to get rid of excess length.
Rope locks
These are the parts that keeps your adjustments in place. They are made from a strong 3 mm aluminium that has been anodized to withstand outdoor conditions. They will not break.
Spinal bridge
Like the throat bridge, the back pad jumps over the spine like a horse sadel. This relieves direct pressure on dogs with a prominent spine and also helps to stabilize the harness.
Sliding back attachment
The back loop of the rope is the main attachment point used on the harness. Just hook onto it with a rounded hook (to prevent damage on rope), and you'll have a very flexible attachment that won't put any abrupt force on your dogs' mid spine. It also has a stabilizing effect on the whole harness.
Magnetic snap buckle
Fidlock makes the best magnetic snap buckles in the world and we absolutely love them! The feel of just throwing the strap on the buckle to secure it is unmatched. We've never had any of them open up by accident and they are so much easier to work with than traditional plastic snaps.
Cushion webbing strap
The strap under the belly is there to prevent your dog from backing out of the harness and helps to stabilize it. It's made from a super soft polypropylene double weave webbing. It has a light and airy feel, is fast drying and can also be completely removed.
Trachea bridge
This is one of our most appreciated and unique features which can only be found in our products. The bridge jumps right over the dogs' trachea, leaving it completely open to breathe effortlessly even during pulling.
Testimonials
Why it works
MEGIN is a highly multifunctional Y-harness concept that is excellent for activities such as running, tracking, cani-cross, weight pulling, hiking, hunting, swimming and more. Here's some of the key functionality that separates us from other brands.
Superdog - Superhero
No-choke bridge
Sliding leash attachment
Modular build
Split chest pad
Ergonomic pads
Easy to clean
Flexibility
Strength
Our unique tracheal bridge removes any direct pressure on your dogs' throat, leaving the airways completely open. MEGIN simply jumps right over this critical and sensitive area, and your dog will thank you for it!
The main attachment point is on the rope loop on the back. Just clip on with any rounded hook on the 8 mm. rope and go. This has several advantages such as removing abrupt sideways force on the spine, preventing harness twisting and also let's your dog move without much disturbance from the leash, which relieves muscle strain and improves balance. Make sure to use a hook without sharp edges to minimize damage on the rope over time.
MEGIN is built using carefully engineered and selected components that interlocks in a clever way. Everything can be taken a part and reassembled by hand, so you can change them.
The double paths of the chest pad, with an opening in the middle, has a stabilizing effect as well as relieving pressure on sensitive areas. It will stay perfectly centered on your adventures.
Canion makes the only harness with ergonomically molded pads with a closed cell surface. The pads have been carefully developed and tested for the best fit, and are made in Italy by our renowned partner brand XL Extralight. The high tech material is also used in premium running shoes for maximum shock absorption.
MEGIN does not trap dirt and water like traditional harnesses. When you get in from a muddy run, just rinse it off in the sink and hang it to dry quickly. The pads can be dried off instantly with a towel if in hurry. Once in a while you can wash it with mild soap in luke warm water.
The modular concept means more flexibility and a harness that can grow with your dog. Every dog you see on this site is wearing the same size harness, which is a small revolution. Long or short back, thick or thin neck - MEGIN will adjust!
There are no stitches that can rupture and no plastic snap buckles that can break. The design is made to work with the forces - not against them. The rope running through the whole harness has a strength of 1200-1800 kg. (black is strongest) and will simply never break from pulling force as long as it's undamaged.

Q&A
Does the MEGIN harness come assembled and ready to use?
How long will it take to receive my order?
My dog weighs 18 kg., will he fit the harness?
Is it difficult to adjust the MEGIN harness?
How do I take the harness on and off?
Why do you ask for the weight of my dog when it's one size?
Yes, the MEGIN harness comes fully assembled and ready to go!
Most orders are fullfilled within 5 business days, and we use standard air shipping with a delivery time up to 5 days on domestic orders and 10 days for international orders.
18 kilos is right at the borderline of the size range for this harness, and whether it fits will depend on the dogs' body shape. If it's a slender dog, the harness might be a bit too loose, but if he has a more robust body, our experience is that it fits when you adjust it all the way in. If your dog weighs 18 kg. and you expect it to grow a little more, then we're confident it will fit.
No, it's not difficult at all, it's just a little different from what you're used to. Everything is held together by a strong rope that's threaded all the way through every component, and you simply just feed the rope through all the sections to adjust.
Our harness reminds a little of Nome harnesses in the way they come on and off. You put the head through first and then lift one front leg in and then the other front leg. Finally there's a belly strap that you fixate with the magnetic lock to stabilize everything and secure the harness so your dog can't back out of it.
Most people do this without loosening the rope, but if you need to, it's enough to loosen it on one side of the chest by feeding some rope from the back loop down on the side.
To take it off you can follow the same approach backwards, but it's easier to teach the dog to bring it's head down and then you can lift the harness over the head and off very easily.
The harness and all of the components are one size, and the only difference is that we can cut the main rope that runs through the harness a little shorter for the smaller dogs within the size range. This is optional and a service we offer to prevent long ends of excessive rope. If you don't answer the question we'll send a rope with full length. It's fully possible to cut them yourself as well, but be careful to tape the ends first and melt them properly to prevent the rope from unravelling.
We do what we do so every dog can do what they are meant to do.
